Things are rockin’ and a rollin’ in Timpson, Texas. The little town was hit with two earthquakes within two hours of each other recently–one measuring 4.1 on the richter scale and the other 4.3. The weird thing is, keeping breakables off the wall and sweeping up broken glass is getting to be normal for the residents. Eleven earthquakes have hit in the last two years, and none of them, scientists think, have actually been Mother Nature’s fault. Seems as though commercial saltwater injection wells are pumping waste water near fault lines, causing the rumbles. So pack up the breakables and hang on to your (10 gallon) hats, the good people of Timpson, Texas. Eventually this whole thing will shake out.
